Replica bronze statue of Greek poetess Sappho, Howard Park and Gardens, Letchworth, Hertfordshire. The original statue was given to Letchworth by the sculptor's sister-in-law, Isabelle Linnell, but was stolen from the gardens in 1998. Sappho is here to <a href="http://www.thecomet.net/news/letchworth-s-what-would-sappho-say-competition-winners-receive-prizes-1-5264771" rel="nofollow">depict</a> the historic link between Letchworth and women’s suffrage which dates back to the town’s foundations. The new statue was <a href="https://www.hlf.org.uk/about-us/media-centre/press-releases/letchworths-howard-gardens-public-opening" rel="nofollow">unveiled</a> on 5 November 2011 when the park reopened following a <a href="https://north-herts.gov.uk/howard-park-and-gardens" rel="nofollow">renovation</a>. But I cannot find any information on the original artist! GOC Hertfordshire's walk on 12 August 2017, a 9.6-mile circular walk in and around Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire. Jeremy C led the walk, which was attended by 17 people.
