Description
English: The GOES-R Ground Segment Enterprise Infrastructure Equipment is offloaded at Wallops Command and Data Acquisition Station (WCDAS) in Wallops, Virginia. The Enterprise Infrastructure consists of the hardware and software that will form the network infrastructure of the GOES-R Ground System. The EI system will allow for the processing and distribution of 40x more meteorological data than is available with the current system. The Equipment arrived at WCDAS from Harris Corporation in Melbourne, Florida, on January 20, 2014.
