Description
English: Gabriel Colomb (19 April 1915 – 14 August 1947), Paris Foreign Missions Society missionary to Eastern Szechwan. Colomb was born in Maleville, he entered the Paris Foreign Missions Society in 1938, and ordained priest on 29 June 1942. He was assigned to the Mission of Chungking (i.e. Eastern Szechwan), but could not leave until 24 May 1946 due to the war. After studying the local language in Kweiyang and Chungking, he accidentally drowned in the Blue River in Péchato on 14 August 1947. See also "Catholic Church in Szechwan".
