Summary edit

Description Some of the most famous men of the French history as well as renowned courtiers are represented in this gallery which includes statues of several Chancellors, Marshals of France and high-ranking politicians. This gallery is probably the longest in Versailles and it stretches almost the entire North Wing, only interrupted by the emergence of the Opera. In Louis XVI's time busts of Enlightenment-philosophers were added to the gallery [thisisversaillesmadame.blogspot.com.au]
