English: Arms of Gambon of Moorstone (anciently Morston) in the parish of Halberton, Devon: Argent, a fess between three men's legs sable (Source: Pole, Sir William (d.1635), Collections Towards a Description of the County of Devon, Sir John-William de la Pole (ed.), London, 1791, p.484). These are canting arms, from French jambe, "leg". Form of legs based on arms of Gambon shown on monument to Sir John Wyndham (d.1645) of Orchard Wyndham, Watchet, Somerset, surviving in St Decuman's Church, Watchet.
