Summary
editDescriptionGarston Dock - Geograph-6497715-by-Alan-Murray-Rust.jpg |
English: Garston Dock Goods Station – 1964 Built around 1890 by the Cheshire Lines Committee as a local goods facility. Although the CLC had initial run passenger services from Brunswick to Garston Dock, the complexities of local ownership meant that from 1871 passenger services were provided by the London and North Western Railway alone. Passenger services ceased in 1947, and the state of the yard in this view shows that the goods yard had also closed by this time. |
