| Description |
English: Gas Pipeline 1997 saw the second Transco gas pipeline pass through the parish of Great Gidding. The pipe was being laid from the Lutton valve unit to Kimbolton Compressor Station as part of the National Grid. The contractors were a joint venture partnership of Entrepose and Laings. The ground conditions were remarkably dry so minimal disruption allowed the pipe to be laid on schedule. |
