English: The title page of the Treatise in which is told much about the things of China, with their peculiarities, e also of the Kingdom of Hormuz. Composed by Father Gaspar da Cruz of the Order of St. Domingo. Dedicated to the most powerful King dom Sebastian, our lord. Published in 1569/1570, this is the very first European book specifically dedicated to China.
