English: Gateway without path A Public Footpath sign points through a gate off the main road south of Romaldkirk, and through the gate is an obvious path worn in the field (filled with snow on this particular day). That leads to the point where this photo was taken, at which point it becomes very unclear as to whether or not the path goes through the gateway seen here. The 1:25000 map suggests that it doesn't, but that it turned off at some point about halfway from the road. If so, it was completely unmarked, and with no obvious path on the ground (which seems to be fairly common in this area - paths near the river are obvious as well as well signposted, but the lesser used ones are simply invisible).
