I did find it really interesting how people didn't seem to come across as angry or vengefull. Nobody talked about retribution at all. They talked about their future and their hopes and the simple fact that they wanted peace. They all smiled, they were all happy. They weren't victims or beaten. They weren't broken people.

Someone else said that for a group living in an open air prison, they were the most free people he had ever met. There is a lot of truth to that. Their lives aren't like yours or mine. They are living in crazy conditions with death and destruction all around - but there's something about them - very likable, very admirable.
