Heimito von Doderer (geboren 5.9.1896 Weidlingau bei Wien, gestorben 23.12.1966 in Wien). Österreichischer Schriftsteller. Sein erster Roman „Das Geheimnis des Reiches (1930). Seine bedeutendsten Werke: „Die Strudlhofstiege“(1951), „Die Dämonen“(1956). Träger des Ehrenringes der Stadt Wien. Deutscher Literaturpreis (1954). Großer Österreichischer Staatspreis für Dichtkunst (1957).
