English: Gedloch Quarry The late sun illuminates the north-facing wall of the quarry, showing off the red, yellow, green and grey rocks. The red is sandstone of the Spynie Conglomerate Formation, and the rest of the rocks belong to the much older Dallas Psammite Formation. The contact between the two is a fault which runs right through the quarry. |
