Title
General Dwight D. Eisenhower watches grimly while occupants of a German concentration camp at Gotha demonstrate how they were tortured by the Nazi sadists operating the camp. Generals Bradley and Patton are at his right. Germany
Description
  • Scope and content: On pages 275 and 276 of General Patton's book, "War As I Knew It," Patton describes the events leading up to and including the one depicted in this photo. He states that he, Eisenhower and Bradley learned later, that the person in the striped shirt, demonstrating the torture, was actually one of the camp's executioners.
