Summary edit

Description
English: Geomorphic effects of an outburst flood (Los Leones Valley) produced by the impact of a rock avalanche. The small lake, detached from the glacier tongue at the time of failure, was classified with low outburst susceptibility in spite of the steep outlet slope. Note the elevated traces ( ∼  40 m) of the impact wave and the large boulders ( >  6 m in diameter) transported by the flow.
