English: Georg Schwechten, produced in 1853, series number 36509, handmade, 15 international awards, creator of instruments, Supplier to the Court of His Imperial Majesty.
Extremely rare, no finer pianos have ever been created than those of the Schwechten house. The G. Schwechten piano, located in Berlin, is the decisive culmination of a work of the highest quality produced in very small shops in Germany and Austria in the 19th century. G. Schwechten's line of pianos opened in the shop of his older brother Heinrich in 1839. Georg Schwechten visited his shop in Berlin in 1853 and specialized in exquisite handmade pianos such as this one. This magnificent line of instruments ended with Georg, who died in 1902. Ivory keyboard of the G. Schwechten piano series No. 36509, made before 1853. |
