Description
English: Rapenburg 65 in Leiden - Bronzen plaquette van de VVSL (Vereniging van Vrouwelijke Studenten in Leiden. Tekst: "Hier was het ons huis, onze tuin, onze staat. En ons werk. Dat onvervaard verder gaat. Vereniging van Vrouwelijke Studenten te Leiden, 1900-1972." Jacqueline Ravelli ontwierp deze gevelsteen ter gelegenheid van het achttiende lustrum van de VVSL, de studentenvereniging voor vrouwen die opging in Minerva. In 1990 werd het werk onthuld aan de voorgevel van Rapenburg 65. Rapenburg 65 in Leiden - Hierbij een foto van de bronzen gedenkplaat na de restauratie in 2013. In 2012 werd het brons ernstig beschadigd door de schoonmakers van het ITC (tegenwoordige gebruikers van Rapenburg 65) die in opdracht het brons een stevige borstelbeurt gaven en daarmee het patina wegpoetsten en bovendien de muur rondom de sculptuur met witte vlekken achterlieten.
