On August 29, 2007, Allied Wire & Cable participated in a ceremonial groundbreaking for their new facility to be constructed at 101 Kestrel Drive in the Iron Bridge Corporate Center in Collegeville. Jerry Gorski of Gorski Engineering officiated the ceremony which involved Congressmen Jim Gerlach, Representative Bob Mensch, and members of the community. The project will see the construction of an 82,000 s.f. office and manufacturing facility. Allied Wire & Cable will be relocating from Phoenixville. Gorski Engineering of Collegeville is the design-build contractor for the project. The facility is due to be completed by the end of 2007 and will bring 100 jobs to Perkiomen Township.
