Summary edit

Description

Part of my collection of GERMAN Law Enforcement insignia

This agency was absorbed in 1971 into Polizei Hessen, one of the 16 Lander (states) which make up the Federal Republic of Germany.

The German style of police patch was rationalised upon the "regionalisation" of (West) German policing in the mid-1970s. when all remaining municipal police forces were merged into the State police of the Lander - and now the patch of all State Police forces comprises the word POLIZEI above the State coat of arms.
