Summary

edit
Description On November 14, 2016, the Full Moon coincided with the Moon's perigee (closest approach to Earth). Thus it looked around 14% bigger than at other times. The Supermoon on November 14 was the closest to Earth since January 26, 1948. Its distance from Earth was "only" about 356 500 km. We will not see another Full Moon that big until November 25, 2034.
