English: Giant Swan sign at Falmer Not so much a giant, but a swan named Fiery Fred who inhabited the nearby pond and seemed to enjoy attacking visitors. The locals arranged for it to be transferred to another pond at Poynings in the 1970's. The pub sign on the other side shows a fierce, but scaled down swan. |
