English: Gig racing at Solva (5) A junior team coasting past the finishing line after winning a gig race at Solva.
Gig racing takes place regularly in Solva. The races start and finish from the slipway at the boat club on Trinity Quay on the west side of the harbour. Teams from the club and from local pubs compete on a course which takes the boats round the inshore island at the estuary mouth. |
