Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Gjøngehøvdingen, der foregår under den Første Karl Gustav-krig i 1657-1658. Ib Abelsøn og gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen holder rest i Sparresholms Skove, mens de transporterer penge for den danske konge. To gønger er imidlertid kommet bagfra for at advare dem om en gruppe svenske ryttere, og nu kommer to andre gønger forfra for at advare dem om en anden gruppe. Svend Poulsen (ca. 1610 - ca. 1679) var en virkelig person, men historien er fiktion.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Gjøngehøvdingen by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1657-1658. Ib Abelsøn and Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, holds a rest in the forest of Sparresholm while they are transporting money for the Danish king. Two gønger has come from behind however to warn them about a group of Swedish horsemen and now two other gønger comes from the other side to warn about about another group. Svend Poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) was a real person but the story is fiction. |
