Description
English: Glacial erratic in Drungie Wood This erratic boulder was left behind by the glaciers which filled the Loch Leven basin 11,000 years ago. The parallel scratch marks visible on the surface of the boulder are glacial striae, formed by the scraping action of the underlying rocks as this boulder was dragged along at the base of the ice-sheet.
