Description
English: Glasshoughton and Red Hill Once a separate village, Glasshoughton is now very much a suburb of Castleford, here seen ascending the slopes of Red Hill, the highest point in the town. The trees on the left horizon are in Queen's Park, while partly hidden by trees on the right horizon is the water tower on the summit of the hill. Other landmarks include St Paul's church (middle distance near left edge of picture) and Glasshoughton Cultural Industries Centre (originally Glasshoughton Board School) in the middle distance towards the right edge of picture, below the radio mast.
