Description Der Graph f(x)=x² ist nicht gleichmäßig stetig. Je weiter rechts man zwei Punkte gleichen Abstandes wählt, desto größer wird der Abstand der beiden Funktionswerte. Die Definition besagt jetzt aber, dass Delta nur von Epsilon, also dem Abstand zweier Punkte abhängen soll, nicht aber von den Punkten selbst. Wählt man zwei Punkte sehr weit rechts mit Abstand Delta, dann soll der Abstand der beiden Funktionswerte immer noch kleiner Epsilon sein. Das ist bei dieser Funktion nicht der Fall. Daher ist f(x) nicht gleichmäßig stetig.
