Description
Català: Glorificació de la Mare de Déu, fresc de la volta de l'absis de la catedral de Sogorb. Entre 1803 i 1806. Obra de Manuel Camarón i taller, i Lluís Antoni Planes.

Encomanada la decoració mural de la volta al pintor sogorbí José Camarón (1731-1803), en morir el 14 de juliol de 1803, abans de començar l'obra del sostre, va ser dissenyada i iniciada l'obra per Lluís Planes, executant-la en les seues dues terceres parts fins a l'aparició d'una sobtada ceguesa. El va succeir Manuel Camarón i Melià (1763-1806), qui es va fer càrrec de la conclusió dels frescos fins a la seva mort el 29 de Juny de 1806, un cop rematats els treballs.

Al centre de la composició de la volta, la Mare de Déu, coronada per una Trinitat, envoltada per un cor angèlic i glòria. Per sota tres registres superposats, un terrestre, precedit per un grup d'àngels nens entre garlandes emmarcant la inscripció "ASSUMPTA / EST / MARIA / IN Coelum", s'obre per la dreta amb els portadors de l'Arca de l'Aliança i Heroïnes Bíbliques de l'antic testament, Débora, Judit, Esther, Abigail, Miriam o Jahel. En un segon nivell sobre núvols, amb sant Josep i sant Joan Baptista, patriarques, reis i profetes de l'Antic

Testament, amb Noè, Abraham i Isaac, Moisès, Aaron, David, Jonàs o Daniel. Per sobre cor celestial d'àngels músics.
