English: Tomb of Hayath Bakshi Begum (1667). Qutb Shahi Tombs, Golconda
Hayath Bakshi Begum, a sort of "Eleanor of Aquitaine" among the Qutb Shahis, was the daughter of Mohammad Quli IV, wife of his nephew Mohammad V, and mother of Abdullah Quli VI. This photo shows its south face of her tomb. The Great Mosque, built under her supervision, is partly visible to the west. A smaller mosque is obscured by trees in the photo left lower corner. |
