Description
English: The Gold serves as a shining reflection of the beauty of our people and state. The Red symbolizes the bloodshed of all Mississippi's people from indigenous to oppressed or enslaved. It also represents patriots who have died to secure a free state and nation. The White is our purity of heart. The Blue represents the Mississippi River, which formed our main border. Inspired by the Great Seal of Mississippi. Twenty stars for the twentieth state appear twice on the flag in commemoration of the historic year 2020(once on the ring, once on the eagle's shield).
