Deutsch: Goldmark Karl, auch: Goldmark Carl, Komponist und Musikpädagoge, geboren Kezthely (Zala megye, Ungarn), am 18. Mai 1830, Sohn eines Kantors, lebte ab 1844 in Wien. Gestorben am 2. Januar 1915 (Josef Gallgasse 5 / Böcklinstraße 28, Wien 2). Komponierte u.a. die Oper „Die Königin von Saba“. Text: Salomon Hermann Ritter von Mosenthal. Uraufführung in der Wiener Hofoper, am 10. März 1875.
English: Karl Goldmark, also: Carl Goldmark, composer and teacher. Born Keszthely (megye Zala, Hungary), on 18 May 1830, son of a cantor, lived from 1844 in Vienna. Died on 2 January 1915 (Josef Gallgasse 5 / Böcklinstraße 28, Vienna 2). Composed inter alia the opera "The Queen of Sheba". Text: Salomon Hermann Ritter von Mosenthal. Premiere at the Vienna Court Opera, on 10 March 1875.
