Description
English: Goldscope Mine spoil at the once very profitable Goldscope Mine. This area of the northwest Lakes has a big blob of granite beneath it. Before solidification its heat may have driven mineral deposition here, and the hills were full of metal ores. Goldscope is shown as a lead mine on the maps, but copper, gold and other metals were extracted here as well. The hill in the background, Dale Head was full of copper.
