Summary
editDescriptionGoodnight, elm (193230517).jpg | Guys with chainsaws came by today and killed the big trees next door. This elm, 57" in diameter at its base, is probably around 70 years old and stood at the rear lot line, 30' behind where the new buildings will go. It survived Dutch Elm, but won't survive the need for one parking space per condo. Why this "green" city lacks something as basic as a tree preservation ordinance (which many of the suburbs have) baffles me. |
