English: Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England congratulates actor Gary Sinise after presenting him with the Superior Public Service Award in the Pentagon on May 5, 2006. England presented Sinise the award in recognition of his work with the United Service Organizations tours and his visits with wounded heroes at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Navy Medical Center. Sinise also co-founded the Operation Iraqi Children with author Laura Hillenbrand, in an effort to help educate Iraqi children. Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band will later perform at the Pentagon Center Courtyard. |
