Gott ist ein Geist

Diese Aufschrift bezieht sich auf einen Vers aus der Erzählung von der Begegnung Jesu mit der Samariterin am Brunnen (Johannes-Evangelium 4,24). – Luther-Übersetzung 1984:

Gott ist Geist, und die ihn anbeten, die müssen ihn im Geist und in der Wahrheit anbeten.
Das Relief wurde vom Bildhauer rechts unten mit dem Monogramm „MG“ signiert.
