Inschrift
Ao. 1737 trat er in der Ehe mit der
tugenhaften Frauen,
MATTJE HARCKEN,
eine Tochter des hier neben ruhenden seligen
Schiffers Olaf Jensen. Gott segnete seinen
Beruf so erwünscht, daß er in seinen besten
Alter schon hinlänglichen Vorrath vor die
Zukunft hatte, welchen er in einer vergnügte Ehe
mit einen christlichen und stillen Wandel, sich mit
den seinigen zu Nutze machte, bis Ao. 1700 d. 24. May
er mit seinen Vätern, in enem Alter von 63 Jahre,
7 Monat und 12 Tage, entschlumerte,

Du sterblieher (?) betracht mein Leben,
Wayse (?), dürftig Schlau zu sein,
ward in der Jugend mir gegeben,
doch Mitteln (?) , Freiheit wurde mein
verzage nicht ob es gleich schwer,
nichts komt vom Herrn von ohngefer,
fürcht und vertrau den höchsten nur
du wirst den auch gewiß erlangen,
was er in seinem Wort dir schwur,
sich deiner ewig zu erbarmen.
