English: The Grand Canyon is a steep sided gorge formed by the Colorado River in northern Arizona, United States. View from Mather Point on the South Rim to the gorge, Granite Gorge.
The view is facing Brahma Temple-(east side of Bright Angel Canyon); the landforms of the ridgelines related to the highpoint/ prominence --- the prominence, immediately viewed right is the tiny peak: Zoroaster Temple. The two points prominently seen-(over the slopes, of Muav L. and Bright Angel Sh., and made of Redwall Limestone, vertical cliffs), are (west), Sumner Butte-(southeast, Bright Angel Canyon), and (east), Bradley Point. The peak of Brahma Temple is made of the Toroweap Formation, below it, the (whitish)-Coconino Sandstone.
