In a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 14, 2011, eight new 8-plex apartment units were officially dedicated and made ready for occupancy. In total, there are 64 units – 32 one bedroom units and 32 two bedroom units. . . The project is the first multi-family housing project to receive platinum LEED certification in the National Park Service, also the first in the state of Arizona. The standards developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an internationally recognized green building certification system.
