Description

"On the rainbow-tinted painted Desert lie three mesas of the Hopi Indians, said to be the oldest continuously inhabited villages in the United States. Here also the Navajo, Arab of the American desert, builds his hogan. In the heart of the prehistoric Indian country, crowning the promontory that overlooks the wanderings of these ancient peoples, has been built the Watchtower – a shelter for the traveler, affording limitless views of this whole colorful region."
