le system practised hereis the same method of concentration, with modifications to meet the localconditions, as was installed in the earliest Canadian mills, and it is worthyof note that their use has been persisted in despite the wide-spread adoptionof numerous other and varied concentration processes that have beenevolved in more recent years. The mill has a capacity of twelve tons ofrefined graphite per day of two shifts. The Nos. 1 and 2 flakesproduced are reported to average about 88 per cent carbon and owing tothe absence of siliceous material in the ore, are particularly well adaptedto the lubricating trade. A flow sheet of the mill1 is given on page 82. References:— Annual Reports of the Ontario Bureau of Mines, 1896 to date, moreparticularly 1896, 1901, and 1903. Geol. Surv.
