Description
English: The grave of Swiss writer Jacques Chenevière (1886-1976), son of novelist Adolphe Chenevière, at the Cimetière de Collonge-Bellerive in the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland. During the First World War, Chenevière was co-director of the Entente department at the International Prisoners-of-War Agency (IPWA) and in 1919 became a member of the International Ciommittee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Having served in leading ICRC-positions during the Second World War he became its honorary Vice-President in 1959.
