English: Grave in St Peter's churchyard This is the family grave of John Henry and Eleanor Mary Stewart of East Carleton Manor. The private driveway which separates St Peter's and St Mary's churchyards passes on the other side of the fence. The headstones seen in the background are situated in St Mary's churchyard.
Only a section of wall > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1606702 - according to Pevsner it is part of the west wall of the church tower - remains of St Peter's church, which is adjoined in the west by St Mary's > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1606632. Each church is surrounded by their own fenced-in graveyard. The two churchyards are separated from each other by a private driveway > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1606661. Despite their close proximity the two churches are situated in adjoinjing grid squares: Magicmap clearly shows the ruin and its churchyard in the grid square east of St Mary's church. |
