English: Graveyard, Crebilly. There was once a Catholic Church in the middle of the graveyard but all that remains are the four corner stones. A new church was built across the road in 1961 531067.
This is my great grandfathers gravestone. My great grandmother died and my great grandfather subsequently remarried. As was quite common in those days, the new wife didn't want to bring up her husbands family, and my grandfathers sister became head of the household at fourteen, responsible for looking after a hoard of children. |
