| Description |
English: Greenlee Lough from bird hide (spot the bird) We have been to this bird hide on several occasions have seen very few birds from this hide although we did see a Heron as we approached the hide. Even in the "book of sightings" the general theme is that it isn't blessed with best "sightings" record. Entry after entry mentions that birds were conspicuous by their absence even the volunteer wardens met with similar luck according to the book. If this is the general trend why was a bird hide erected where birds are seldom seen. By contrast as we walked along the Pennine Way Broomlee Lough, in the distance, appeared to have a plethora of waterfowl --- Broomlee isn't as accessible as Greenlee. |
