Description

Greg Goldsmith and Former President Barack Obama Supervisory Information Technology Specialist Midway Atoll NWR

"Boating can give you a perspective you cannot replicate while on land. It often gives you glimpses into some spectacular events in nature. As a watercraft safety instructor, I try to maintain the fun and exciting aspects of boating while effectively managing risk to return safely and do it again next time.

I was traversing some shallow areas with patches of coral reef, and needed to see what was coming up, but the President was right in my line of view, so I could either ask him to move, or change my position while running the boat. I chose the latter."
