English: Grinding stone from Llwyngwair Manor At the top of Market Street, below the castle.
Llywngwair Manor lies about half a mile to the east of the town with its old mill close by. I was told by a local informant that the last miller feel asleep at work after drinking and the millstones carried on grinding themselves away and that was the end of the mill. I don't know if this millstone, last used in 1943, was one of those. |
