Description
Français : La "grotte d'Hercule" se trouve à 15 kilomètres au sud-ouest de Tanger, sur le promontoire de Cap Spartel, environ 10 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. A travers un long couloir, (dans la première partie il y a un escalier artificiel), on accède dans la grotte, composée par quelques pièces communicantes dans lesquelles il y a de nombreux niches ; dans la pièce, la plus grande, il y a une sorte de fissure sur l’océan dans la dure roche calcaire sculptée par la puissance de la mer. La caractéristique la plus évidente de la grotte est représentée par les colonnes en anneaux empilés visibles dans les murs de la cavité, cet aspect n'est que le résultat de l'exploitation minière de la roche au cours du temps visant à la production de meules à grains de forme circulaire.
