Description
English: Grub Street Cutting near Norbury, Staffordshire. One of many deep cuttings in Telford's canal, started in 1826 and completed (following appalling difficulties with Shelmore Embankment two miles south) in 1835, after his death. Here the branches of the overhanging trees obscure High Bridge, one of the strangest looking on the whole canal system. 1390126
