English: A U.S. Navy Grumman A-6E Intruder (BuNo 155635) from Attack Squadron 75 (VA-75) "Sunday Punchers" prepares to catch the hook as it lands onboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65) on 9 September 1996. The Enterprise was attached to the U.S. Sixth Fleet and conducted flight operations in the Adriatic Sea in support of "Operation Joint Endeavor". Operation Joint Endeavor was a peacekeeping effort by a multinational Implementation Force (IFOR), comprised of NATO and non-NATO military forces, deployed to Bosnia in support of the Dayton Peace Accords. VA-75 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 17 (CVW-17) aboard the Enterprise for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 28 June to 20 December 1996. VA-75 was disestablished following this deployment on 21 March 1997. |
