English: A U.S. Navy Grumman F-14B Tomcat (BuNo 161424) of Fighter Squadron 103 (VF-103) taxis past a parked F-14B (BuNo 162923) of VF-74 on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga (CV-60) during Operation Desert Storm, 23 January 1991. The F-14B 161424 ("AA-212") was a replacement aircraft for the earlier "AA-212" F-14B 161430. This was the only F-14 Tomcat lost during the Gulf War, shot down by a S-75 (SA-2) missile on 21 January 1991. |
