Description
English: Two U.S. Navy Grumman F9F-6 Cougars of Fighter Squadron 142 (VF-142) "Fighting Falcons" in a low-level flight over the coast of Guam, in January 1956. VF-142 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 14 (CVG-14) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Boxer (CVA-21) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 3 June 1955 to 3 February 1956. At the end of this deployment, Boxer was redesignated to an anti-submarine carrier (CVS) on 1 February 1956.
