| Description |
English: Guardbridge, old bridge. Built by Bishop Henry Wardlaw in 1419 the six arch bridge was built to ease the crossing of the Eden on the pilgrims route to St Andrews. It was in service until 1938 when the modern bridge was opened alongside it. It is still used by pedestrians and bikes on the cycle route to and from St Andrews. |
